I found this new s/w released by MS research labs.Called Songsmith AKA Windows Garage band paid alternative.Its a software that makes music for your tunes.You sing a song and select the correct tempo and genre,The music will be automatically added to you tune in a couple of seconds.It works.
Once you install the trail version(6 hrs usage time),you will be greeted with a dialogue box to create new song…Follow the instructions and go a head with your singing session.Once you feel satisfied with the output you can export into a music file(WMA) and rejoice.
The main issue I found is the lack of manual intervention which makes you to create a tune based on the existing loops in the library(limited in number as of now) as opposed to create a tune and generate music(you can do this but it sounds lame OR probably it takes time).
